Traveler's FAQ

Answers to every question about Wyrmhole — from your first adventure to deep endgame.

How do I add Wyrmhole to my server?
Use the invite link from wyrmhole.xyz. The bot requires these permissions: Send Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files, Use External Emojis, Read Message History, and Manage Messages (for cleanup). Once added, type !adventure in any channel to get started.
What is the default command prefix?
The default prefix is ! (e.g. !adventure, !character). Server admins can change it with !adventureset prefix <new_prefix>. If you're unsure what prefix your server uses, try mentioning the bot directly.
How do I check my character stats?
Use !character (or its alias !c) to view your current level, class, equipped gear, skill points, and gold balance. Use !backpack to see your full inventory.
Any tips for a brand new player?
Here are the most important things to know starting out:
  • Join other players' adventures — you share XP and gold without extra risk.
  • Don't sell Ascended or Legendary items — they're rare and hard to replace.
  • Save gold for !enchant rather than spending it all at the trader.
  • Pick your class carefully at Level 10 — you can respec but it costs gold.
What do Fight / Talk / Magic / Pray / Run do?
Each action uses a different stat.
  • Fight uses ATT (Attack) — raw physical combat.
  • Talk uses CHA (Charisma) — attempt to persuade or deceive the enemy.
  • Magic uses INT (Intelligence) — spells and arcane force.
  • Pray uses LCK (Luck) — invoke fortune or divine intervention.
  • Run always succeeds but earns zero XP or gold.
Matching your class stat to the action type gives you the best odds.
How does Elemental Affinity work?
Every class and most monsters have an elemental affinity: Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Light, or Dark. When your class element matches the monster's element, you gain an 18% combat advantage. There is no penalty for a mismatch — only a bonus for matching. Use !monster to check an enemy's element before committing.
What are monster prefixes?
Dynamic prefixes like "focused", "enraged", "weakened", or "massive" modify a monster's base HP and ATT up or down. A "massive Ancient Wyrm" is significantly harder than a regular one. These prefixes are randomly assigned each encounter and are visible in the encounter embed.
What is the Special Action button?
The blue Special Action button appears on every encounter if your class ability is off cooldown. It triggers your class's signature ability — for example !rage for Berserker or !bless for Cleric. You can also type the command directly. Most abilities apply to the current encounter only and have a 1-adventure cooldown.
How does Item Degradation work?
Item degradation is a Rebirth Lifespan mechanic, not combat damage. Legendary, Ascended, and Event items carry a degradation counter shown as [N] in their name. Each time you use !rebirth, these powerful items lose 1 point of lifespan. If the counter hits -1, the item fades away permanently. This forces players to strategically hunt for new loot across multiple lives!
How do I level up faster?
Several strategies accelerate leveling:
  • Join every adventure you see — even as a secondary participant.
  • Complete Daily Bounties (!bounty) for bonus XP each day.
  • Use a Cleric in your party — their !bless grants bonus XP to the whole party.
  • Invest Skill Points into your primary stat to improve win rates.
  • Equip gear with XP bonuses if available.
When can I pick a class and how do I choose?
You unlock class selection at Level 10 via !class. Each class excels with a specific action type (ATT/INT/CHA/LCK) — choose one that matches how you like to play. If you primarily Fight, consider Berserker or Warden. For Magic, Wizard is the go-to. For party support, Cleric or Bard are excellent. You can respec later, but it costs gold, so choose thoughtfully.
What do I gain from Rebirth?
Using !rebirth at the level cap resets your level to 1 but grants: a permanent ATT/INT/CHA multiplier (stacking across rebirths), a custom title for your character, and an AI-generated epitaph unique to your character's history. Deeper rebirth counts eventually unlock the Psychic prestige class. Your gear, gold, and skill points are retained.
How do Skill Points work?
You earn 1 Skill Point per level. Use !skill to permanently invest points into ATT, INT, or CHA. These stats passively boost your relevant dice rolls in every combat action. Points persist through rebirths. You can also use !enchant to add stats directly to your equipment (up to 5 times per item).
What is The Crucible?
The Crucible (!crucible or !nv) is a high-risk, high-reward gamble. You offer a portion of your gold to face dark, twisted "nega-members" of your server in a multidimensional rift. Winning results in massive XP and currency gains. Losing results in total loss of your wagered gold and potentially your equipped items. Only attempt it when you're prepared to lose everything.
How does the Gauntlet Mode work?
The Gauntlet (!gauntlet start) is a multi-floor survival crawl. Each cleared floor increases difficulty by 15%, and every victory adds to an accumulated bonus pool. After each fight, the party votes to Continue or Extract. Extract safely and collect the full bonus pool. Continue and get wiped on Floor 2+, and you lose 50% of the pool before being ejected.
Does my character carry over between servers?
Yes! Wyrmhole uses a Global Progression system. Your gear, levels, skill points, and gold follow you to any server running the bot. You can adventure with different communities without losing progress. Note that server-specific settings (like Guild Town buildings or World Boss state) are local to each server.
How does the bank work?
Use !bank deposit <amount> and !bank withdraw <amount> to move gold in and out of your bank account. Deposited gold is safe from combat losses and Crucible wagers. Some servers may configure interest rates. Your bank balance is global (same across all servers, like your character stats).
What is the gold transfer tax?
Configurable tax brackets apply to player-to-player gold transfers via !transfer player <amount> @user. Server admins set the rates using !adventureset economy. The tax is taken from the sender. View the current tax tiers with !adventureset economy (admin) or check with your server's admin.
How do I repair my gear?
Gear can be damaged when your party loses a combat encounter. Damaged gear reduces your stats until repaired. Use !repair to fix your equipped items — the cost scales with the item's rarity tier. Keep gold in reserve for repairs, especially if you're pushing into high-difficulty content.
Can I trade items with other players?
Yes. Use !backpack trade @player <price> <item> to offer an item at a set gold price — the recipient can accept or decline. For gold transfers, use !transfer player <amount> @user. Configurable tax brackets apply. Note: soul-bound items crafted by Tinkerers cannot be traded.
What permissions does the bot need?
Wyrmhole requires: Send Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files, Use External Emojis, Read Message History, and Manage Messages (used to clean up commands after encounters). Without Manage Messages, some cleanup features won't work but the bot will still function.
How do I set a dedicated adventure channel?
Use !adventureset channel #your-channel to restrict all adventure commands to a specific channel. This keeps your other channels clean. Admins can also use !adventureset alertchannel #channel for bot announcements like World Boss spawns.
How do I enable the World Boss?
Use !adventureset worldboss enable to activate the server-wide boss with a shared HP pool. Every normal adventure players complete automatically chips away at the boss's HP. Admins can set the boss HP, reward multipliers, and phase transition thresholds. Use !worldboss to view current status.
How do I set up Auto Adventures?
Server admins can configure idle-mode adventures with !adventureset autoadventure. Set a dedicated channel, trigger interval (e.g., every 30 minutes), and spawn chance percentage. The bot will automatically spawn encounters without players needing to type !adventure — great for keeping activity going between sessions.
What are Guild Towns & Raids?
Guild Towns are an optional persistent building system. Members donate gold to construct buildings like Fortifications and Training Grounds that grant server-wide passive bonuses. Periodically, Raid Events occur that can damage buildings — the community must rally to defend them. Admins initialize the town system with !adventureset guild.
What is the Wyrmhole?
The Wyrmhole is an interdimensional rift — a tear in the fabric between worlds through which monsters pour into your Discord realm. No one knows what created it or where it truly leads. Adventurers who push deep enough whisper of a Quintessence Dragon at the edge of reality, and of rebirths that transcend mortal limits. The bot's lore unfolds through AI-generated combat narratives and world events.
What are the 33 locations?
Locations range from humble starting zones (Town, Forest, Caves) to mid-tier hunting grounds (Ruins, Swamp, Volcano) to elite endgame zones (The Void, The Crucible Rift, The Ascended Peaks). Higher-tier locations spawn stronger monsters with better loot and higher gold rewards. Server admins can restrict which locations are accessible using !adventureset location.
What kind of dragons are there?
There are 6 elemental dragon families (Fire, Frost, Storm, Stone, Radiant, Shadow), each with a 3-tier evolutionary ladder: Drakes (common), Dragons (rare), and massive apex Wyrms (boss-tier). Outlier world-bosses like the colossal Quintessence Dragon (560 base HP) stand apart from all families as singular entities of near-mythical power.
Are there seasonal events?
Yes. Calendar-based seasonal events trigger server-wide changes: locked weather states, bonus XP/gold multipliers, and themed monster variants. Examples include Winter Solstice (frost bonuses, ice-type monster surge), Harvest Moon (luck-based loot bonuses), and Solar Eclipse (shadow/dark element buffs). Event timing is based on real-world calendar dates.
Where do the 906 pet species come from?
Pets are drawn from the same monster pool as enemies — Rangers can capture creatures they've encountered in the wild. With 512 base monster types plus variant forms, rarities, and special event creatures, the total capturable species count reaches 906. Higher-rarity pets (Rare, Legendary) have better passive bonus multipliers when summoned.
How do Item Sets work?
There are 24 named equipment sets. Equipping 2 or more pieces from the same set activates stacking stat bonuses — the more pieces, the stronger the bonus. Use !setinfo <name> to see the full bonus breakdown. Use !backpack eset <name> to equip an entire owned set at once. Some sets are themed around specific monster types or locations.
How does the World Boss work?
Admins activate a server-wide boss with a shared HP pool. Every normal adventure automatically deals proportional damage to it — you contribute just by playing. The boss has two phase transitions at 66% and 33% HP that change its behavior and rewards. Top damage contributors earn bonus loot when it falls, tracked on the server leaderboard.
How does PvP dueling work?
Use !duel @player <wager> to challenge another player. They accept or decline via button. Combat is resolved using each player's stats, class bonuses, and gear. The loser pays the wager to the winner. A 30-minute cooldown applies per player after each duel. Duels are opt-in and both players must be on the same server.
